D Shape Magnesium Anode

BAIQI magnesium anodes are manufactured from high-purity magnesium ingots using advanced casting technology, strictly complying with ASTM international standards. We offer two types with different electrochemical potentials—High Potential (HP) and Standard Potential (H-1)—to meet cathodic protection requirements in diverse environments. With a minimum current efficiency of 50%, our magnesium anodes serve as a cost-effective anti-corrosion solution for buried structures.

Core Advantages & Practical Applications

1. Core Advantages
  • High Potential (HP): Features higher driving voltage, enabling robust protection with fewer anodes. Suitable for dry or sandy areas with resistivity exceeding 2,000 Ω·cm, or structures with multiple corrosion hotspots.
  • Standard Potential (H-1): Cost-effective due to aluminum and zinc alloying elements; ideal for soil environments with resistivity below 20 Ω·m.

2. Applications
Applied in the sacrificial anode cathodic protection (SACP) systems for buried structures such as onshore pipelines, underground storage tanks (USTs), and external bottoms of aboveground tanks.

3. Packaging Configuration
Each anode is equipped with an insulated copper cable and pre-packaged in a linen bag containing rapid-wetting and moisture-retaining backfill. This design reduces the electrolyte resistivity around the anode, enhancing protection performance.
