ur Flexible Magnesium Anode Rod is a high-performance sacrificial anode engineered for superior corrosion protection in hard-to-reach spaces of water heaters, tanks, pipelines and industrial equipment. Cast from high-purity magnesium ingot (ASTM B843-M1C/ AZ63B standard), it features excellent flexibility to fit irregular installation positions, high driving voltage, and long-lasting service life. Customizable in length, diameter and thread size, this flexible Mg anode rod is an economical and reliable solution for both residential and industrial cathodic protection systems, suitable for high resistivity soil/water environments.
Interior corrosion is one of the primary failure modes of water heaters. Water inside the heater tank contains various corrosive constituents, including heat and aggressive minerals, which can deposit and erode the steel inner tank, thereby reducing the service life of the electric water heater.
The anode rod is critical for preventing corrosion and leakage in water heaters. It releases electrons into the water, establishing a protective environment that diverts corrosive attack from the tank walls to the anode rod itself. This effectively extends the service life of the inner tank and the heating element.
Featuring a carbon steel core wire or 301 stainless steel braided wire, this flexible magnesium anode rod is specially designed for confined spaces where a rigid straight anode rod cannot be installed.
