Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) Coated Titanium Wire Anode

Our MMO wire anodes are designed for flexible installation, suitable for direct burial in fine sand or carbonaceous backfill, as well as long-term immersion in freshwater or saline water. Their versatile application scenarios include:
1. Wrapping around pipelines to deliver continuous and close-proximity cathodic protection.
2. Prepacked with coke breeze in canisters for deep well anode installation.
3. Connected to a feed cable at one end or assembled in a piggyback configuration to form a continuous anode system, ideal for under-tank protection.
4. Protecting the internal surfaces of water tanks, where their malleable properties ensure uniform current distribution even in areas with significant water level fluctuations.

Long-Lasting Coating System
The mixed metal oxide (MMO) coatings of our anodes exhibit exceptional chemical stability, performing reliably in diverse environments including soil, mud, freshwater, and seawater, even under low pH conditions. The coating formulations can be customized by blending two or more noble metal oxides, such as iridium oxide (IrO₂), tantalum oxide (Ta₂O₅), and ruthenium oxide (RuO₂), based on specific application requirements. Accelerated life tests conducted by an independent laboratory have verified that our MMO coatings outperform comparable products available in the market.
The technical specifications and applicable scenarios of our two mainstream coating catalysts are detailed as follows:

Note: We offer tailored anode production services, with adjustable noble metal oxide ratios and coating thickness to meet clients’ specific demands.

Electrochemical Performance
The current output of our MMO wire anodes varies according to the application medium, ranging from soil to seawater. Extending the anode service life can be achieved by either increasing the coating thickness or reducing the operating current density. The following table presents the maximum allowable current density for anodes of different diameters under various service lifetimes and working environments:
